Uchendu Urges Wike to Focus on FCT, Not Rivers Politics

Former representative of Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator Andrew Uchendu has urged Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, to focus on his Abuja responsibilities rather than interfering in Rivers State’s politics.

This advice comes after recent arson attacks and rising tensions between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Wike.

Uchendu, a prominent leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, intervened in the state’s political situation, advising Wike to prioritize his ministerial duties and allow Governor Fubara to fulfill his term.

His experience in Nigerian politics, having served in the House of Representatives and Senate, lends weight to his counsel.

In the aftermath of the attacks, local stakeholders in Emohua have come together to promote development in the area.

Chairman David Omereji expressed commitment to equitable development and confidence in Governor Fubara’s leadership during challenging times.

The Legislative Assembly also appointed Precious Ada-George as the new Leader of the House, marking a positive step forward.

The situation in Rivers State remains fluid, with ongoing efforts to address tensions and promote progress.
