Bloodshed in Imo as Soldiers, Gunmen Engage Fierce Battle

A deadly gun battle erupted in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, between soldiers and unidentified gunmen, reportedly leaving multiple casualties and injuries.

The attack occurred at the Aba branch in Ehime Mbano, with eyewitnesses describing the area as “on fire” and troops taking control of nearby communities.

Cyber Reporters gathered thatrResidents have fled in panic amidst constant gunfire, creating widespread fear and uncertainty.

A source explained: “Some non-state actors attacked and killed some soldiers in the area yesterday. claimed. The whole place is on fire, and troops have taken over nearby communities.”

“We are terrified,” another anonymous resident shared. “The sound of gunfire still echoes in our ears. We’re worried and unsure what’s next. Ehime used to be peaceful, and we’re shocked by these events.”

This incident follows the recent burning of Senator Frank Ibezim’s house and the National Open University centre in Ezeoke Nsu Ehime Mbano Local Government.

The Police Command in Imo State has condemned the attack ¹.

The Nigerian Army and Police have not commented on the situation as at the time of filing this report.

The motives behind the attacks remain unclear, but tensions in the region are escalating.
