Former Ogun State governor Olusegun Osoba has urged Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu another chance, despite his shortcomings.

Osoba expressed confidence that Tinubu will excel in his second term, citing the Yoruba people’s unwavering support for his presidency.

Speaking at the All Progressives Congress, APC, South West Zone Assembly meeting in Lagos, Osoba emphasized that Nigerians chose Tinubu as president, stessing that now is the time to rally behind him.

According to Osoba, the Yoruba leadership stands united behind Tinubu, believing in his ability to deliver on his promises.

Osoba’s plea comes as Tinubu navigates Nigeria’s economic and political challenges, having taken office in 2023.

Osoba said: “Now that Tinubu is there, I want to plead with all of you to accept his shortcomings. He will do better. After his first four-year term, he will serve another four years as a Yoruba son.

“The South West Assembly’s message is clear – the Yoruba leadership stands united behind Tinubu’s presidency and remains confident in his ability to deliver on his promises during his tenure.

“Bola didn’t make himself the President of Nigeria.
