Burna Boy Crowned Nigeria’s Biggest Artiste on Apple Music

Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning singer, has been crowned the biggest Nigerian artiste of all time on Apple Music.

In celebration of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, Apple Music unveiled its list of the most streamed Nigerian artists and songs, with Burna Boy taking the top spot.

Other artists following Burna Boy closely  are Wizkid, Davido, Rema, and Asake.

The top 10 list also features Tems, Omah Lay, Fireboy DML, BNXN, and Olamide.

In terms of songs, Rema’s “Calm Down” remix with Selena Gomez emerged as the most streamed Nigerian song, followed by Burna Boy’s “Last Last” and Wizkid’s “Essence” featuring Tems.

Apple Music also spotlighted Nigeria’s diverse music scene by highlighting nine Afrobeats stars from different parts of the country, including 2Baba, Omah Lay, Odumodublvck, Shallipopi, Seyi Vibez, Jeriq, Bloody Civilian, and Qing Madi.

This recognition underscores Burna Boy’s immense impact on Nigerian music and his contribution to putting Afrobeats on the global map.
