A group under the aegis of the Allied Immaculate Gentlemen (AiG) has significantly contributed to child education by donating free books and JAMB forms to students.

Led by its president, Alex Babatunde Adiyelogun, on a Corporate Social Responsibility mission, AiG visited Prismoni Comprehensive High School and Opra Model College in Lagos on Wednesday, September 27.

The principals and head teachers warmly received the group while the students applauded the generous gesture.

In his remarks, Adiyelogun expressed the group’s dedication to community upliftment through education, emphasizing that every child deserves to be educated.

He highlighted the importance of giving back to the communities where many AiG members grew up. Adiyelogun said:

“AiG is a family-oriented club. We came together to make an impact in our communities. Most of us come from local communities, and we believe it’s our responsibility to inspire the younger generation to believe in themselves, to chase their dreams, and to give back to their communities.”

Adiyelogun further stressed the need to act, regardless of economic challenges, urging top individuals and other corporate bodies to get involved in child education.

“We need to start and set an example for others. No matter how difficult the economy is, we can still make a difference. We shouldn’t wait for perfect conditions to begin making an impact. It’s about empowering these students with resources that will encourage them to focus on their education, achieve their goals, and eventually return to their communities to inspire others.”

He also urged individuals and corporate bodies to extend support to those in need, especially in light of the harsh economic climate.

In her reaction, Remi Iwosokun, a director at Prismoni Comprehensive High School, expressed gratitude to the Allied Immaculate Gentlemen for their thoughtful contribution.

She remarked:

“This is amazing. What AiG has done is the right thing. I can tell you some parents find it difficult to buy even notebooks for their children.

“Our school has been in existence since October 1976, and we are making efforts to subsidize education for children. We are happy that AiG has chosen to identify with us.”

AiG is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission in 2017.
