Your Ambition Caused Bola Tinubu’s Reign: Giwa Blasts Obi

Pastor Adewale Giwa of Awaiting The Second Coming of Christ Ministry has opined that Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, is responsible for Nigerians’ suffering under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Giwa believes Obi knew he could not defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC, but chose to play a spoiler role in the last election.

According to Giwa, opposition parties are Nigeria’s main problem, noting that the country’s history shows that alliance-building is often necessary to defeat the ruling party, citing Buhari’s formation of alliances to defeat the PDP after losing three times.

Nigeria’s electoral system also contributes to the challenges faced by opposition parties, as it can lead to unexpected winners, Giwa observes.

He said this was evident during the tenures of Obasanjo and Jonathan.

Giwa criticizes politicians for prioritizing personal interests over addressing Nigeria’s challenges.

He emphasizes the need for unity among opposition parties to defeat a common enemy, stating that allowing a party member to serve as Minister under another party portrays weakness.

The pastor’s perspective highlights the complexities of Nigeria’s political landscape, where self-interest, disunity, and an intricate electoral system hinder opposition parties’ ability to challenge the ruling party effectively.

The pastor sad: “The opposition parties are the major problem facing Nigeria.

“Peter Obi knew he couldn’t have defeated the ruling party in the 2023 presidential election. He, however, emerged to play the spoiler role.

“He is the reason Nigerians are suffering under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu. Nigeria is not a country where a single party can defeat a ruling party.

“Do you know how many parties that aligned together to defeat Goodluck Jonathan on 2015? Buhari lost three times before he decided to form an alliance with other political parties to defeat the PDP.

“Again, the nation’s electoral system is convoluted in such a way that the least person could become the first. This is what has continued to play out in the country.

“It happened during Obasanjo and Jonathan’s terms. It takes those who know God to do what is right. These politicians are selfish and not ready to address challenges facing Nigeria.

“If you could leave someone who claims to be a member of your party to serve as Minister under another political party, it portrays you to be a jester.

“When you know that you have a common enemy, you should join hands to defeat him.”
