Popular Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso has passed away, Cyber Reporters report.

She was well-known for her compelling voice and devotional music, which appealed to many in the Muslim community.

On Tuesday morning, popular Ilorin-based cleric Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da’awah announced her death via his official Facebook page.

Further information about her demise has yet to be revealed.

Her followers and the wider Islamic music industry are devastated by her demise, and the news has spread quickly.
