Social media critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, has slammed the organizers of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 for letting Chidinma Adetshina emerge winner.

The emergence of Chidinma as the reigning Queen has sparked controversy on the Nigeria media space with Netizens opining that she does not deserve the crown.

Verydarkman who joined the discussion, claimed that Chidimma’s win was motivated by sympathy for her past experiences with bullying.

According to Verydarkman, the organizers should have had her participate in next year’s pageant instead, as he believes her win was unfair to other contestants.

He also criticized the organizers for allowing Chidimma to represent Taraba state despite not being from there, calling it a “lazy” decision.

Verydarkman argued that the organizers should have conducted a talent hunt in each state to find genuine representatives.

He said: “You na carry person wey no come from Taraba, call her Miss Taraba, how does she represent Taraba state when she is not from Taraba?”

Recall that Chidinma faced criticism in South Africa during her Miss South Africa contest.

This led to a government probe and her subsequent withdrawal from the pageant after her mother was accused of fraud and identity theft by the Home Affairs ministry.
