On the morning of August 20, Rabiu I Ibrahim, special assistant to the Nigerian Minister of Information, and Ifeanyi P Okereke, head of bilateral relations in the Ministry of Information, visited the headquarters of StarTimes.

They were warmly welcomed by Pang Xinxing, Chairman of StarTimes Group, Wang Jin, CEO of StarTimes Nigeria, and Lily Meng, General Manager of StarTimes Media Company.

The visiting Nigerian delegation expressed their gratitude for the exceptional contributions StarTimes has made over the past decade to the development of Nigeria’s broadcast and television industry.

Thanks to StarTimes’ digital television platform, an increasing number of local Nigerian channels are able to consistently deliver engaging content.

Rabiu expressed great interest in the project mentioned by Chairman Pang regarding the reactivation of Nigeria’s National Digital Migration.

This project includes the digitization of the national television station, the nationwide digital terrestrial television transmission network, terminal digitization, and the media city.

In the near future, both parties will engage in in-depth discussions to further advance the project. Moving forward, they aim to strengthen their collaboration to promote the development of Nigeria’s local broadcasting and television industry.
