Famous Nigerian controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky has been released from prison.
Bobrisky regained freedom from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Monday around 10am after being sentenced to six months imprisonment.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos sentenced Bobrisky for Naira abuse in April.
The self-acclaimed Mama of Lagos while dancing at a social event, had tempered with currencies issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria by spraying them.
The judge, who gave the sentence to Bobrisky without an option of fine, reiterated that his sentence would serve as an example for others who abuse the Naira note.
His jail term began on 24 March, coinciding with the day of his arrest.
