Protesters in Edo State stormed the road on Sunday morning for a live church service despite the appeal by President Bola Tinubu to suspend the ongoing nationwide protests against bad governance.
The angered protesters assembled at the Agho junction on Ekenhuan road, Benin City, praying to God for intervention in the myriads of crises rocking Nigeria presently.
Cyber Reporters reported that President Tinubu on Sunday morning addressed Nigerians on the ongoing nationwide EndBadGovernance protests.
Tinubu who expressed sadness over the loss of lives and properties after hoodlums hijacked the protest, appealed to the youths to suspend the demonstration.
Tinubu while disclosing some steps taken by the Federal Government to alleviate the suffering, said the country’s economy is already on its way to recovery.
His speech was greatly criticized by Nigerians who claimed the president failed to address the demands made by the protesters.
