This appeal was conveyed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a briefing with State House correspondents after his meeting with President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Minister stated that general issues concerning the country were discussed in the meeting, with the President emphasizing his commitment to improving the nation’s economy.

“We discussed various national issues, and Mr. President asked me to inform Nigerians that he is attentive to their concerns, especially those of the young people considering a protest,” Idris said.

“Mr. President emphasized that he takes their concerns seriously and is working tirelessly to ensure the country’s well-being, not just for today but for the future. He believes there is no need for the planned protest and urges them to await the government’s response to their pleas, assuring them that their voices have been heard.”
