The Arewa Youths Forum (AYF) has berated comments made by  Senate President Godswill Akpabio, blaming former Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele as the cause of the current hardship.

However, the group in a swift response to Akpabio, described him as a hypocrite who was a pot calling a kettle black.

The forum asserted that Akpabio’s statement was just a mere distraction from his numerous case reports with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

AYF pinpointed some corruption allegations against Akpabio, including a reported N40 billion fraud in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and over N86 billion contract scams.

Adding that the anti graft agency had recently called Akpabio in for questioning.

In their word:

“Any discerning mind would not hesitate to conclude that Akpabio’s outing was nothing by diversionary tactics, typical of the pot calling the kettle black,” the group stated.
