Former governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has honored the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin Zonal Command in the state.
Abdulfatah, who was Kwara State governor between 2011 and 2019, is being grilled over allegations of financial mismanagement.
When contacted, a source from the anti graft agency had this to say:
“Yes, the immediate past governor is here; he got here in the morning and he is still with us.”
Meanwhile, former press secretary to the governor, Wahab Oba, had revealed that the visit to the office was just a normal procedure for former governors.
“He was invited and he honoured them as he had always done. He is always ready to respond to any query regarding his tenure as governor of the state. There is nothing unusual about the invitation and his honouring the anti-graft
