Nigerian singer, Michael Aniekeme Meshach, known by his stage name Mish, has reportedly passed away.

A close family member confirmed the heartbreaking news on Thursday, February 15, revealing that Mish passed away in Abuja.

Mish, an Akwa Ibom native, rose to prominence in 2011 with his hit song ‘Akwa Ibom Ayaya’ (I Want To Go Home), which received widespread attention and became a viral sensation on social media.

The artist was born in Obot Okoh Mbiaobong, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

While Mish achieved national success with ‘Akwa Ibom Ayaya,’ he appears to have taken a hiatus from the music scene.

Not much was heard from him in the years following the triumph of his hit single. The circumstances surrounding Mish’s death remain undisclosed.
