Yunus Emmanuel Abdulrazak, also known as Manuel Muzic, a contestant on The Voice Nigeria season four, has reportedly died.
Manuel’s death was confirmed by fellow singer Ric Hassani, who responded to the tragic news in the Instagram comments section of the singer’s most recent music video.
Ric Hassani wrote: “I am refusing to accept this all day. So heartbroken. Manuel. You were just at my place eating and playing just last week I don’t get all of this. I am so sorry, I don’t even know how to process this. I truly don’t, I don’t even just know what to say,”
Manuel competed in the fourth edition of the singing competition, mentored by singer Niyola. He, however, did not advance to the finals.
During his time on the show, Manuel performed songs such as Cee Lo Green’s ‘Forget You’, Lojay’s ‘Mona Lisa’, and Marvin Gay’s ‘Sexual Healing’ in a duet with fellow contestant Gidion.
He had just released the music video for his single ‘Photos’ on December 8, 2023 and celebrated his birthday on the December 19.
Although the exact cause of his death is unknown, many reports indicate that he died from typhoid and malaria.
