AFCON2024: Nigerian High commission issues security advise to Nigerians in South Africa

In anticipation of the semi final match between Nigeria and South Africa, the Nigerian High Commission in South Africa has issued a security warning to Nigerian residents in South Africa.

Owing to some inciting comments by a group of South Africans on social media, the Nigerian high commission has urged Nigerians to keep calm before and after the match.

The warning became pertinent due to some comments from fans and supporters of the bafana bafana football team.

Some of the comments include South Africans promising to show Nigerians “pepper” should they loose to the super eagles tomorrow, 7th of February.

The official letter issued, reads:
