Former Clerk, Adelami Sworn in as Ondo State Deputy Governor

Dr Olaide Adelami, former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly, has been sworn in as Ondo State’s Deputy Governor.

Adelami was appointed deputy governor by the state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday, after his name was forwarded to the state House of Assembly for review and approval.

Adelami Sworn in as Ondo State Deputy Governor

Justice Olusegun Odusola, the state’s Chief Judge, swore in the new deputy governor at a ceremony conducted on Thursday at the International Culture and Event Centre in Akure.

According to the screening committee’s report, Deputy Speaker Abayomi Akinruntan stated that Adelami is a man of reputable character, well-exposed, and physically and intellectually fit for the post.

Adelami responded to the nomination by thanking the governor for the opportunity to serve the state.

He also highlighted that his appointment was a call to duty and pledged to work for the betterment of Ondo State and the country as a whole.
