Shortly after being released from police prison, British-Nigerian musician and songwriter Azeez Adeshina Fashola, better known by his stage name Naira Marley, was seen giving meals to special youngsters at an unidentified location.
The musician was being held by the Nigerian Police in relation to his suspected role in the killing of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, along with his close buddy Sam Larry.
Not for the first time, Naira Marley made headlines when he appeared in public for the first time since his parole.
The artist gave the kids sacks of rice, noodles, drinks, and other gifts while escorted by security personnel, setting off a touching scene that has gone viral.
The incident occurs in the middle of ongoing inquiries into the circumstances of Mohbad’s death; Naira Marley and Sam Larry have both been given bail during this time.
Their purported role in the incident and its nature are still being investigated.
