Nigerian rapper Oladips, whose managers had earlier declared him dead, has now come up with fresh proof that he is still alive and well.
Oladips just posted an Instagram story that had the confirmation. He is seen chatting away with an older woman, who appears to be his grandma, outside his home in the footage.
Remember how Oladips’s close friends and associates reported he had died after a medical emergency?
His management announced the news of his passing on Wednesday morning on the rapper’s official Instagram page.
The management wrote: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov’14 Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral service will be announced as soon as it is concluded!
“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (Amen) -Management,” the statement reads.
Following the devastating news that went viral online, both fans and celebrities shared their sadness and sympathies.
It was particularly painful because the mourning occurred not long after the sudden death of Mohbad, another well-known person.
