Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer, Emoseh Khamofu, better known as Bloody Civilian, has said she is in the music industry to compete with her male peers.
The musician emphasised that it was past time for female musicians to take the place of their male counterparts at the top of Nigeria’s music business and stated that she does not view female colleagues as threats.
This was revealed by the artist in a recent Album Talks interview.
She said, “I don’t see other female artists as threats. Actually, I’m here to occupy the spaces of the multiple male artists that you guys have put out this year. There are too many. It’s time to replace them with more women.”
