Tope Maggie, a chef from Ogbomoso, Oyo, has embarked on a daunting 200-hour cooking marathon in the hopes of setting a new world record.
Maggie announced his daring cooking marathon attempt in an Instagram post on Thursday evening. Maggie’s statement was accompanied by a slew of photos and videos in which he fervently sought support for his audacious endeavour.
According to a flier, Tope’s cooking marathon is taking place at the Ogbomoso Recreation Club in Ogbomoso.
Tope, as shown in viral footage, began his ambitious attempt on Thursday around 6 p.m. Surprisingly, he has already reached an incredible 17 hours of continuous cooking at the time of this report.
The accompanying flier indicates that the chef has taken steps to seek the official approval of the Guinness World Records (GWR).
