Amidst the political chaos in the state, Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has asserted that his predecessor, Nyesom Wike remains his “oga” (boss)

Fubara made this affirmation at the rededication service of the 2023/2024 Legal Year of the Rivers State Judiciary, at ab Anglican Church in Port Harcourt, an event which also had Wike in attendance.

This will be the first time, both political leaders will be seen together in public after the recent attempted impeachment saga against the governor.

Meanwhile, Governor Fubara while speaking at the service, described the recent political tussle in the state as a thing of the past while calling for lasting peace in the state.

In his words:

“My oga remains my oga. Whatever that has happened is in the past. I have not sent anybody to malign anybody,” Fubara declared boldly.

Fubara also called on his teeming supporters to desist from using any insultive or abusive words when addressing his political rivals in the State.

According to him:

“in trying to attain development, the devil will always attack, but that what is most important is to “identify the devil and push it out”.

Wike who is currently Minister of the Federal Capital Territory is rumored to be fingered in the recent impeachment plot against the governor, over loyalty issues.
