Governorship elections: Kogi shuts down schools from Nov 10

In preparation for the State Gubernatorial elections in Kogi State, the State Government has directed the closure of all learning institutions in the state from Friday 10 of November.

The directive cuts across Primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in the State.

The instruction was issued via a statement by the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones.

According to the commissioner, this was in a bid create a conducive environment for the state’s Guber election on Saturday, 11 November.

Schools are excepted to resume academies on Wednesday 15 November.
