Running mate to former Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the last election, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has insisted that being respectful to the President will not stop him from addressing him as a drug baron.

Datti Baba-Ahmed who made an appearance on a television program on Arise News made this statement shortly after the press briefing held by his principal, Peter Obi.

According to him, his attitude of paying respect to Tinubu would not invalidate the fact that Tinubu was charged with drug related cases.

According to him:

“There were reports linking the president to drug-related activities many years ago, but the Supreme Court has declined to make rulings on such matters.

Showing Tinubu respect does not mean I will not call him a drug dealer,”

He also urged Nigerians to take back their country.

“Remove the guns from the hands of Nigerians and redirect them against the enemies of Nigeria; Nigeria must reclaim the country!

Sovereignty and power belong to the people! Democracy is the right of those who can practice it.”

Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress was declared President elect by the electoral umpire, INEC after the February 25 presidential elections.
