NYSC CERT SAGA: Court rules in Favour of Peter Mbah

The Federal High Court Abuja, in its verdict has just affirmed the originality of the National Youth Service Corps Certificate presented by Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah.

Said Justice Inyang Ekwo in his judgement held that the NYSC discharge certificate presented to Peter Mbah was original and affirmed that there was enough evidence to prove that he was mobilized bY NYSC in 2001 and passed out on 2003.

The court also held that Mbah have started his NYSC applied for leave to attend law school and was reintegrated into NYSC in 2023.

Justice Ekwo in his judgement also outlined that Mbah had had a law firm owned by one Mr Ude as his primary place of assignment, adding that this was not challenged by NYSC.

He berated the NYSC and it’s DG for acting in “bad faith” by debunking ever issuing a discharge certificate to Mbah.

The court has also compelled the NYSC and its DG to pay the sum of N5 million to Peter Mbah for damages.
