Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has revealed some recent developments in the continuing investigation into the death of the late musician Mohbad, aka Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba.
The two-time mother revealed that Mohbad’s case had been handed over to the Ministry of Justice’s Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) on Instagram by posting a photo of him there.
She continued by revealing that the late singer’s wife, Omowunmi Aloba, who is accused of being responsible for his passing, has been questioned three times. He was questioned with his mother and father.
The CCTV camera at Mohbad’s home, which could have solved the mystery of what happened, was never fixed and connected, as Iyabo pointed out in a crucial plot point.
She continued by saying that the coroners continue to hold the singer’s remains while the police have not yet received the singer’s toxicology results.
Iyabo wrote: “Update on Monbads Case:
The case has been transferred to the DPP……. Directorate of Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice, while the police say they are still waiting on the toxicology results ….
Mohbad’s remains have not yet been released,
Also, Mohbad’s wife has been interrogated 3 times to the best of my knowledge, 2 out of the 3times was the day you all saw Mohbad’s dad televised by the police in which they addressed the public on Mohbad’s case, later that same day Mohbad’s dad, mum and wife was sent to Panti for interrogation and to write their statement, another day Mohbad’s wife was interrogated was the 21st of September 2023….. reason why Tonto and Sentor Ishaku Abbo met her absences…
