The controversy started when a video of Sam Larry, Naira Marley’s assistant, harassing the late Mohbad appeared online.
The video immediately became popular online, grabbing the interest of both enthusiasts and the broader public. Mohbad was on the set of a music video shoot when the footage was taken.
He was accompanied by fellow artist Zlatan and was being carried in a wheelchair by an elderly woman. The distressing video showed Zlatan stepping in to stop Sam Larry from hitting Mohbad from behind.

While netizens expressed their surprise at Naira Marley’s lack of concern in the midst of the issue, he continued to post on his snap chat. Let’s not forget that when word of Mohbad’s passing broke, Naira Marley posted an emoji representing heartbreak. He has only responded in that way thus far.
The alleged arrest of Naira Marley and Sam Larry will be related to the physical abuse Mohbad endured while he was still alive, not in direct relation to his passing. The accountability police have made some headway, which has pleased online users.
