The Executive Governor of Ondo State has sacked some of his media aides and disbanded the whole media crew of the deputy Governor.
Akeredolu has just arrived from his medical vacation in Germany, where he handed over power to his deputy to head in acting capacity.
Akeredolu however returned to the country last week and has since resumed duties after writing to the state house of assembly.
Meanwhile there are fresh rumors that the Governor’s return may have been immature and done in rush as there were speculations of a plot by his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa to impeach him.
According to sources, this was to be done through the state house of Assembly.
Members affected are, Press Secretary to the Governor, Kenneth Odusola; Special Assistant to Governor (New Media) Okunniga Oladipupo; and Special Assistant to the Governor (Photography) Abayomi Samson Adefolalu.
The intent for the Governor’s decision is quite unclear.
The announcement was made by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olatunde Richard via his official X handle.
