Chairman of Silverbird group and former Senator, Ben Murray Bruce, has asked all parties to accept the ruling of the Tribunal.

Sen Ben Murray Bruce via his X handle has asked all aggrieved parties from the just concluded Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to sheath their swords and move on.

”Once elections have been held and a winner is announced, we must follow the Jonathan doctrine and accept the people’s verdict in the interest of democracy and the nation. Our elections don’t have to end in the courts. But now that we have found ourselves in this position, and the courts have spoken, let us put national interest above self-interest, accept the verdict, and move on so the nation can advance. ”

Sen Bruce while sending this message, admonished Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi to accept the verdict and embed the Goodluck Jonathan doctrine.

The Senator who served as a representative of Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the National Assembly urged all the players involved to be mindful of their words at this time.

In his resolve, given what is happening around the world, it is important to be mindful of the events and tailor their words towards peace.

Recall that the PEPT yesterday ruled and trashed out the petitions and prayers of the PDP and the Labour Party for lack of merit.
