The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) has struck out the petition filed by the Labour Party (LP) challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25, elections.
that the five-member panel of the PEPT, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, ruled that the LP failed to prove that Tinubu was ineligible to contest the election. The court also dismissed the LP’s allegation of electoral offenses in the whole process.
Meanwhile, the Labour Party while reacting to the ruling has said, it won’t accept the judgment, adding that it is not a reflection of the desire of the people.
