Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has opined that if Peter Obi of the Labour Party was a better option, Nigerians would have voted him as President instead.

Wike disclosed his resolve during an interview with Channels TV on Wednesday, August 30.

The Minister also revealed why he decided to support Bola Tinubu in Rivers State against his own party flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

When asked if Peter Obi would have handled the Nation’s issues better than the incumbent President, Wike declined answering and rather said he was done with discussing about candidates.

“I don’t want to discuss social media issues,” the FCT minister said.

“I don’t discuss presidential candidates any longer; I discuss the economy, the President, what he has to offer.

“If he (Obi) would have been better, Nigerians would have voted for him,” he added.
