Veteran Nollywood Actor, Nkem Iwoh finally broke his long silence regarding the passing of his daughter issuing his first formal statement.
Recall that the actor lost his 24-year-old daughter Kosisochukwu in June after a brief illness.
However, the actor never shared the tragic news of the daughter’s passing with his online followers.
After his daughter was buried on August 24, the actor spoke out about her passing.
Nkem Owoh thanked everyone who offered him condolence messages and showed him love during his difficult times in a statement he posted on his Instagram page.
In the most difficult circumstances, knowing that one is not alone can be encouraging, he said.
The actor, who is affectionately known as Osofia, continued by saying that losing his daughter was a shift for which he was unprepared.
He said: “I want to thank you all for the support and love shown to me and my family. When tragedy strikes, there is nothing more heartening than knowing that you’re not alone.
It was with deep gratitude that I received your note, and calls with condolences. We have seen many changes over the years. But this is a change I did not anticipate and I am feeling an acute sense of loss.
However, I know that because of your encouragement, I will get through this time. Thank you for helping to push me through my grief”.
