Owing to some allegations of bribing Arise TV presenter (Oseni Rufai) Peter Obi has come out to debunk his accusers.

Peter Obi via his official twitter handle described the allegation as wicked and malicious, adding that while he honors the invitation of Arise News anytime he’s called upon, he will never induce any journalist’s perspective with monetary gifts or the likes.

The Presidential Candidate of the Labor Party in a series of tweets also emphasized that he is at liberty to honor invitations to burials or weddings ceremonies and this will never on any way be a source of bias to anybody’s judgment.

I have never and will never monetarily induce any journalist to speak or write in my favour. When I am invited to birthday celebrations or funerals, people know that I do attend. Countless journalists, media personnel, the less privileged, the wealthy etc.,

The series of allegations have been coming as an aftermath of a media faceoff between Arise News Presenter, Oseni Rufai and staunch ally to former vice president Atiku Abubakar, Reno Omokri.

Reno had recently gotten into a media tussle with Rufai over the validity of Tinubu’s academic records from Chicago State University, where he (Reno) claimed to have gone to verify that the President attended.

The social media sensation  who accused Rufai of having a special bias in favor of Peter Obi and also alleged that Rufai may have collected some sort of financial benefits from Peter Obi to fund his late Father’s funeral via cash, electronic transfer of third party basis.

Reno disclosed this via a tweet on his verified X handle, where he said:

AriseTV and Mr Rufai Oseni should kindly answer the following question.
