Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Davido spays tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo midway into his Afronation performance in Detroit, USA on Sunday.
Fans and colleagues of the award-winning performer have paid tribute to his late mother during their performances, while others have expressed their condolences on their social media accounts.
While condoling with WizKid, Davido mentioned that he was experienced with loss because he had lost his mother, Mrs. Veronica Adekunle.
He said Wizkid had the opportunity to make his mother proud with his achievements in the music industry before she died away.
While speaking to the fans, he said: “Personally, I have lost so many people in my life. And I want to send condolences to my brother, Ayo Balogun Wizkid. To his mother, may her soul rest in peace. “I lost my mother myself years ago. But I know whatever he [Wizkid] has done, he has made his mother proud.”
