Tinubu set to swear in Ministers, reveals date

 Following the assignment of portfolios, the new Ministers are set to be sworn in on Monday, 21 of August 2023 by the President.

The full list of Ministers and their assigned portfolios as follows:Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice,  Lateef FagbemiMore Ministers are; 

The swearing in ceremony which will will be chaired by the president is scheduled to hold at the state house conference center, Presidential villa, Aso Rock.

This was contained in a statement relaeased by the office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, through its Director of information, Willie Bassey.

Excerpts of the statement read,  “The swearing-in ceremony by the President is as follows:

Date: Monday, August 21, 2023

Venue: State House Conference Centre,

Aso Villa, Abuja. Time: 10:00 AM

“Honourable Ministers to be sworn in are expected to come with two guests each.

“All Honourable Ministers and guests are to be seated by 9:00 am .”

The full list of Ministers and their assigned portfolios as follows:

Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy,  Hannatu Musawa

Minister of Defence,  Mohammed Badaru

Former of Zamfara state Bello Mattawalle will now become Minister of State,  Defence. 

Minister of Education,  Tahir Maman and his deputy, Minister of State, Education,  Yusuf Sununu

Minister of Housing &Urban Development,  Ahmed Dangiwa

Ministry  of Housing &Urban Development, will be lead by Abdullahi Gwarzo while Minister of Budget & Economic Planning now becomes Atiku Bagudu.

Minister of State,  Environment and Ecological Management,  Ishak Salako

Also, another shocking appointment was Minister of Federal Capital Territory,  that was assigned to former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, making him the first southerner to hold the office again  in more than 20 years.  He’ll be joined Minister of State,  Federal Capital Territory,  Mairiga Mahmud.

Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation,  Joseph Utsev

Minister of State,  Water Resources and Sanitation,  Bello Goronyo

Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security,  will now be manned by Abubakar Kyari

Minister of State,  Agriculture, and Food Security,  Aliyu Abdullahi

 Minister of Interio will now be  Saidu Alkali while  Yusuf Tuggar takes Ministry of foreign affairs.

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare; Ali Pate while Minister of State,  Health and Social Welfare,  is Tunji Alausa

Also, last minute nominee, Ibrahim Geidam was assigned to the Ministry of police affairs. 

Minister of State,  Police Affairs,  Imaam Sulaiman-Ibrahim

Minister of Steel Development,  is Shuaibu Audu while his deputy, Minister of State,  Steel Development, is   U. Maigari Ahmadu

However, in a twist of fate, an officer most Nigerians thought was reserved for Mr Dele Alake which is the office of the Minister of Information and National Orientation, was assigned to  Muhammed Idris.

Other ministers in the list include,
Minister of Labour and Employment,  Simon Lalong

Minister of State,  Labour, and Employment,  Nkiruka Onyejeocha

Also, first ever indigene from Abuja to be nominated as Minister, Zephaniah Jisalo, will now run the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs. 

One of the Youngest nominees, Bosun Tijuana will man the Ministry  of Communications,  Innovation, and Digital Economy. 

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy,  Wale Edun

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy,  Bunmi Tunji-Ojo while Minister of Power, will be  Adebayo Adelabu

In a shocking twist, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, is Dele Alake

Minister of Tourism,  Lola Ade-John

Adegboyega Oyetola, Former Governor of Osun State will now become Minister of Transportation. 

Minister of Industry,  Trade, and Investment,  Doris Anite

Minister of Innovation,  Science and Technology,  Uche Nnaji

Former Governor of Ebonyi State Dave Umahi is now Minister of Works,  

while former Minister of State for Labour and employment Festus Kenyamo, is now Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

More Ministers are; 

Minister of Youth,  Abubakar Momoh

Also, former commissioner of health in Cross River State and current women leader of the APC, Betty Edu is now Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. 

Minister of State,   Gas Resources,  Ekperipe Ekpo

Former Minister of State for Agriculture, Heineken Lokpobiri  will now be Minister of State,  Petroleum Resources. 

Minister of Sports Development,  John Enoh

Minister of Women Affairs,  Uju Kennedy
