The spokesperson to the immediate past governor of Zamfara State, Comrade Abdullah Anas Kaura, has described the leadership of current governor of the state as “inept” and called for current Governor Dauda Lawal to pen own his resignation.

Kaura in his statement decried the high level of poverty and insecurity in the state and accused the governor of forming a cabal of leadership.

In the statement signed by him, Kaura urged the governor to take immoderate steps to mitigate the sufferings of the people by curbing the insecurity and high level of poverty in the state within the shortest possible time.

He however asked Lawal to adopt some strategies used by immediate past governor, Bello Mattawalle.

According to his statement:

“By adopting strategies used during the previous administration, the current administration in Zamfara State has a significant opportunity to effectively tackle poverty and insecurity,”

Speaking on the issues of owed salaries and poverty rate, Kaura called on Lawal to resign, adding that his “incompetence” was a key player in current situation.

Kaura also noted the numerous cases of kidnappings and killings during the brief duration of Lawal’s administration.

In his conclusion, Kaura called on the members of the APC to remain calm and foster peaceful coexistence in the state.

“Tinubu inherited problems from previous administration”- Oshiomole

One of the primary ways to combat poverty is through substantial job creation, particularly for the youth. I implore the people of Zamfara State to continue fostering peaceful coexistence and to back the ruling party in its endeavors to rejuvenate the nation,”
