Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, has criticized ECOWAS’ plan to use its standby force to restore constitutional order in Niger as “total madness.”

Recall that the President of ECOWAS, Omar Alieu Touray gave the order while reading out the resolution of the subregional body’s extraordinary meeting on Thursday in Abuja.

Reacting via his verified Twitter handle, Mr. P accused the West African body of joining the West to fight fellow Africans.

He wrote: “Africa joins the West to fight Africa. Total madness.”
