A former Senator from Kaduna State, Shehu Sani has urged the Nigerian Senate to reject the nomination and possible confirmation of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Sani has advised the 10 Senate against the confirmation of El-Rufai, describing him as a power drunk man.

The former Kaduna State Senator who has been at loggerheads with the former Governor has issued a stern warning to the senate, adding the confirmation of El-rufai threatens the peace of the nation.

In his words via his official Twitter handle, he said:

“The unconfirmed ministerial nominee; The imp who was intoxicated with power, and who arrogantly played god is now at the mercy of those wielding power.

A religious extremist with a fanatical political agenda should have no place in the seat of power if that nation desires peace,”
