Following the decision of the decision of members of the National Labour Congress in Nigeria to embark on a nationwide protest to express their total dissatisfaction over the subsidy removal decision by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, members of the union have hit the streets of various states.
This is coming after a long weeks of deliberations between the federal government and the group.
while some states like Kano, Lagos, Bayelsa and Delta have openly expressed concern over the hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidy, security officials seem to be staging an airtight blockade around the federal capital territory.
Members of the group have openly called on the government to have an immediate review of the policy, revert fuel price to 185 naira and increase minimum wage to 200,000 naira.
The Presidency earlier had ordered a team of members of both the presidency and the Labour union to review the current minimum wage and make proper Recommendations
