Super Eagles Return Home After Libya Withdrawal

The Super Eagles, Nigeria’s national football team, have returned home safely after their abrupt withdrawal from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya.

The team landed at the Aminu Kano International Airport on Monday night, bringing an end to a dramatic and challenging trip.

Cyber Reporters earlier reports that the players and officials were stranded for several hours at Libya’s Al Abaq Airport after arriving in the North African country on Sunday.

This unacceptable treatment led the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to take swift action.

The NFF decided to pull out of Tuesday’s scheduled match in Benina, citing the inhumane conditions faced by the players.

The Libya fixture was slated for matchday four of the qualifying series.

However, the unfortunate events unfolded, forcing the NFF’s hand.
