Nigerian forward, Victor Boniface has issued a stern warning ahead of the Super Eagles’ upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya.

Boniface emphasized the importance of respecting every opponent, regardless of their reputation.

In an exclusive interview, Boniface stressed that no team should be underestimated, stressing that this mindset will help the Super Eagles approach the matches with the right attitude.

Boniface assured Nigerian fans that the team is fully committed to securing victory against Libya, adding that the Super Eagles are determined to make a strong start in the qualifying campaign.

Nigeria will host Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Friday, before traveling for the return leg on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles’ previous AFCON campaign saw an outpouring of support from Nigerian fans, and Boniface hopes to replicate that success.

He acknowledged the importance of the matches, saying the team is motivated by the nation’s enthusiasm.

He said:

“First of all there is no low team because the opponent also, they are here to represent their family and country.

“We are doing the same so will try our possible best to make a country like Nigeria really proud, to get three points and try to qualify for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

“We know how important the last one was for Nigeria in general, the support and everything, so we will try our possible best to get the win.”
