The Lagos State Taskforce has deployed more patrol motorbikes in high-risk zones around the state to address the growing danger of “one chance” road robbers and associated crimes.

This followed increased public alarm about the criminals’ activities, causing the task force to step up its operations.

CSP Adetayo Akerele, Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, announced the expansion of patrol units, particularly in locations known for traffic robberies such as Agege Motor Road, Fagba, Gbagada Expressway, Iyana-Oworo, and the Oshodi Expressway.

The latest deployment, which follows the introduction of Max S bikes in August, aims to improve reaction times and curb criminal activity around the metropolis.

CSP Akerele emphasized the significance of the new patrol motorcycles, stating that they will improve the task force’s ability to respond quickly to occurrences and catch offenders.

“The Lagos State Taskforce is dedicated to maintaining law and order in the metropolis, allowing all citizens to travel without fear of robbery or other criminal activity. “These additional patrol units will provide a greater sense of safety for all motorists,” Akerele stated.

He reassured the public that the new security measures would significantly curb traffic-related crimes and enhance the overall safety of Lagos residents.
