Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan, who is facing money laundering allegations, has complained that he is being mistreated by the Nigerian authorities.

In a viral video posted on Monday by SYMFONI, Gambaryan, who was using hand crutches, protested that the Nigeria Correctional Service Staff had abandoned him on the government’s orders.

“This is Fuck Up; he was warned not to aid me. This is an order from the government. It’s a show, and I’m an innocent guy,” he explained.

The development comes after the embattled Binance executive was arraigned on Tuesday at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

On August 28, 2024, Mark Mordi, SAN, submitted a bail application for Gambaryan.

However, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) attorney, Ekene Iheanacho, opposed Gambaryan’s bail plea because he does not have a major health problem.

Recall that in April, Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered Gambaryan to remain in Kuje jail while his bail application was processed.

In February, the Nigerian authorities arrested and detained two firm executives, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla (now at large), on allegations of money laundering and terrorism.
