Ex-Big Brother Naija Lockdown Season 5 winner Laycon has described some difficulties he encountered several years ago.
Laycon claims that in 2013, he used toilet water to soak garri for a drink because he was starving and had no money or other resources.
He also stated that the garri he soaked in toilet water did not contain sugar, and he did not have enough money to purchase a sachet of water, so he had no choice but to soak the garri in sewage water before eating it.
He said; One of my lowest lows was using Shodeinde Hostel toilet water to soak garri in 2013. I was alone in my wing that weekend, and I was starving. I wasn’t hungry o, I was starving. So I soaked Garri with no sugar and used toilet tap water to drink it… as I Dey soak the garri, water dey commot for my eyes.”
