Popular Critics and media personality, Daniel Regha spoke on the Super Eagles’ recent triumph over their South African rival, Bafana Bafana.

Nigerians have gone wild on social media, celebrating the Super Eagles’ advancement to the final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The semi-final match at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake, Côte d’Ivoire, ended in a 1:1 tie after more than 120 minutes of intense play. In contrast, Nigeria successfully collected penalties.

However, Daniel, who believed that the national team was undeserving of the victory, expressed his thoughts on the game, claiming that it was a lucky win.

He also blasted their performance, describing it as ‘Greatly Disappointing’. However, he claimed that South Africans outperformed Nigerians in the encounter by exercising their prowess.

The controversial media personality did not miss to compliment the Super Eagles goalkeeper Nwabali, whose two saves helped Nigeria defeat South Africa 4-2 in penalties.

Taking to his handle on Twitter after the match, he wrote; “Nigeria won but by mainly luck, Super Eagles performance was greatly d!sappointing. Nigeria’s midfield was so flat up until the 62nd minute & even after that the team were almost outplayed.

The determination wasn’t really there, SA played the better game truth be told, but kudos to the goalkeeper Nwabali, he alone did an excellent job”

However, his opinion drew a lot of criticism on the social media platform; some netizens asked Daniel to appreciate the nation’s victories and be less critical, while others brought him to mud for constantly criticizing other people’s hard work.
