Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the just concluded Kogi Nov 11 elections, Senator Dino Melaye has just revealed he won’t be contesting the results of the elections in court.

While it a natural occurrence for aggrieved parties to approach the court after such an electoral process, Dino Melalye has revealed he won’t challenge the victory of his opponent, Usman Ododo.

The PDP governorship candidate, who came in third in the election, on Wednesday alleged that the judiciary is no longer independent but a department of the APC.

The former Senator hinted that his decision may be as a result of his loss of confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary to deliver Justice and fairness.

Dino stated, “Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it is now a department under the All Progressives Congress. Why should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC have captured the judiciary?

“I have lost complete confidence in the judiciary.”
