Incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri has been celebrated by some women in Bayelsa as he claims an early lead with winning three out of the 8 local government areas in the State.

Diri has been declared winner in Ogbia, Yenagoa and Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Areas, with five LGAs left to be declared, it seems too early to call.

Photos show women in Bayelsa taking to the streets to celebrate the Governor, who is also the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
