Former Governor of Central bank, Sanusi Lamido has extended some advise to the current Governor of Central bank, Olayemi Cardoso.

Sanusi has urged the new CBN governor to initiate and implement monetary policies that will reduce inflation and boost the economy.

Sanusi who led a team called the impact investment team to the central bank headquarters, Abuja.

In his remark, Sanusi affirmed that the policies and programs of the central bank can turn around the economic fortunes of the country and reduce poverty and economic hardship.

In his words:

“The Bank’s activities have a massive impact on the lives of Nigerians, and many people often do not know the impact of a Central Bank’s work until a Central Bank fails. I urged the new leadership at the CBN to work persistently at driving down the rate, which had severely impacted the wealth of individuals,”
