Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw attended the verdict of Doctor Olufemi Olaleye, the medical director of the Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, who was charged with defiling his wife’s niece, on Tuesday at the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court.

Olaleye was charged with two counts of defiling his wife’s niece and sexually assaulting her. These charges were brought against him by the Lagos State Government.

On November 30, 2022, the defendant was charged and entered a not guilty plea.

The crime was committed in Layi Ogunbambi Close No. 17 in Maryland, Lagos State.

Doctor Olaleye was charged with inappropriately having sex with his wife’s 15-year-old niece.

He was also charged with forcing his manhood into the teenager’s mouth in order to commit sexual assault.

The acts committed, according to the prosecution, violated Sections 137 and 261 of Lagos State’s 2015 penal code.

Justice Oshodi accepted his plea of not guilty and granted him bail in the amount of N50m with two sureties in the same amount who had to own real estate in Lagos State.

The judge ruled that both sureties must show proof of their three-year tax payments to the Lagos State Government.

Justice Oshodi further mandated that Olaleye surrender his international passport, including his British passport, as well as the original land title paperwork to the court’s registrar.

After the conclusion of the trial, the court fixed October 24, 2023, (Today) for judgment.
